O Glorious St. Stephen, first Deacon, and Martyr, I humbly beg for your powerful intercession in my life. As the Patron Saint of Deacons, please guide me in serving the Church with great virtue and courage. Most Powerful Saint Stephen, your heavenly fortitude caused admiration even among your enemies. Please grant me a lively faith to face all our sufferings with grace and strength. Help us to seek forgiveness for any sins we’ve committed and lead us toward a happy death. Blessed St. Stephen, pray for us that one day we may meet God face to face in Heaven and rejoice in His eternal glory with you. Amen.

Oh, St. Stephen, first martyr for the faith, I come before you with a humble and heavily laden heart.
