Repentance Prayers

Dear Lord, I come before you in deep repentance. I confess my sins and beg for forgiveness, as it is written in Psalm 51:17: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” I know the only way to reconcile with You is through deep repentance of my sins. My sorrowful remorse has led me to turn away from my wicked ways and seek Your grace again. I acknowledge that no matter how hard I try, I will always fall short of Your glory because of my sinful nature, so please forgive me and have mercy on me! Help me to confess all wrongs done by me out loud before You so either withhold or extend the pardon that befits our special relationship anew. Amen!

O Lord my God, I humbly confess all my sins before You. Your word reassures me, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins” (1 John 1:9). By Your grace, please remove them from me as far as the east is from the west. Create in me a clean heart, O God; resurrect in me right and willing spirits to receive your forgiveness and mercy so that I may live joyfully in Your love forever. Through Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on the cross for my sinfulness and powerful resurrection into eternal life, may His Holy Spirit fill me with His truth, love, peace, and understanding of You every day. I praise You! Amen.

Almighty God, I come before you in repentance of all my sins. Though I have been guilty of wicked acts, your loving kindness and tender mercies remain steadfast. Through faith in Jesus Christ, I seek to be free from the chains that bind me. As I trust in you and call on his name, Jesus, for salvation, may the Holy Spirit empower me with a willing spirit so that joy and peace may fill my heart after sorrow led me astray. Hear my plea, oh Lord, as I praise your precious name, for through your grace, I'm saved. Let me live anew, and be reborn! Amen.

Dear God, who is merciful and gracious to all your children, I humbly come before you to ask for forgiveness. Your steadfast love is here, and I know my sins will be washed away by trusting in You. Cleanse me from the wickedness of my acts through Jesus Christ, your Son and let his death on the third day cover me in mercy and grace. Let the truth of that sacrifice cleanse my soul anew so I may turn away from sin with a spirit that desires righteousness and thanks you for every blessing in life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I humble myself before You, Almighty Lord, and humbly repent my sins. Please cleanse me from all unrighteousness and forgive me for my wickedness. Almighty God, I know You are always with me and will never leave or forsake me. Your great love gives me the strength to have faith in You no matter what life brings. Through Your grace, I can confidently face any trial, knowing Jesus Christ has paid the price for my sins. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Lord, help create this future for me as an act of mercy for us all. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, I come before You today as a broken and contrite man. I confess all my sins, the wicked acts that have separated me from You. Your word tells me that if I acknowledge my wrongdoings, you will forgive them and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. Looking back at my life, I see how undeserving of Your love and mercy I’ve been. Yet, despite this hard time forgiving myself, you still show grace to me daily. So for this gift of salvation won by your Son on Calvary's Cross, ever forgiving Father God, thank You! Amen.

My loving Father, I come before you in humble repentance for my wrongdoings and wicked acts. I plead for your forgiveness, kindness, and mercy. God, hear my joyous plea; deliver me from all the sin that plagues me and set me free from its ties. This reminds me of John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins." All glory be to You, Heavenly Father! In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
