Prayer to Get Closer to God

Dear Heavenly Father, in humility and sincerity we approach You. In our quest to have a closer relationship with You, let the words of our prayers indeed draw us nearer. Strengthen the intimate relationship we yearn for; guide us ever closer to You in our spiritual life. Through a humble heart, help us cultivate a close relationship that is deeply rooted in Your love. We understand that developing a relationship with God requires persistent pursuit, just like any worthwhile endeavor. Grant us patience and resilience as we seek to know You better and experience Your divine presence more profoundly. Amen.

Lord Jesus, we yearn to draw closer to You, to emulate the profound way in which Jesus prayed and interacted with all around Him. We desire an intimate relationship with You, Christ Jesus, seeking always to delve deeply into Your love and grace. Just as a tree needs sunlight for photosynthesis, so do we seek God’s illuminating presence to bear fruit in our lives. Heavenly Father, in all my heart, I yearn for my spouse to seek and find You. I pray that You shower them with wisdom and instill in them the courage not to be double minded. Lead their soul towards a life-changing encounter with Your love, dear God. May this journey deepen their understanding of You, molding them into the person You desire for them to be. Lord, bestow upon us many blessings as we continue to walk in faith together. With hope shining before us, may our future be blessed and our union grow stronger in Your love. Amen.

Or where can I flee from your presence?” As I examine the things present in life, guide me towards a heavenly perspective.
