Prayer for Victim Mentality

Father in Heaven, in Your words You counsel, ‘For I know the plans I have for you…to give you a future and a hope.’ (Jeremiah 29:11). Let this divine precept dwell richly within me, and transform my spirit. Aid me, Lord, to break free from the manacles of victimhood that shackle my self-perception. Pour Your unyielding strength into my being to help me rise from ashes. Inspire resilience within me to counter every storm life throws. Re-write my story with Your love, not as an eternal victim but triumphant survivor. Through Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beloved God, I reach out to You. For too long, the victim’s shroud has cloaked my spirit. Unwind its hold, soften its edges.
