Prayer for the Assumption

O Blessed Virgin Mary, we come to You in love, reverence, and gratitude. As the Queen assumed into heaven on the day of the Assumption of Mary, you took your place on the throne prepared by God Himself. Such a loving Mother, please look upon us with kindness from up high. Remember we who have recourse to thee, pleading for your intercession. Sweet Virgin Mary, bring our requests (mention your request) before God’s mighty throne. Pray for us, Dear Mother while guiding us towards His divine light. O Loving Mother, assist us in all our earthly endeavours so we might strive toward heavenly grace. In humble gratitude and unending love, we pray this. Amen.

Holy Trinity, we venerate Thee with utmost reverence and longing, acknowledging the assumption of the Blessed Mother Mary into heavenly glory. Dearest Mother assumed, we honor your noble origin and beseech thee to intercede for us to attain unending bliss in heaven. Virgin Mary, through your blessed fruit, may we obtain peace in our hearts and strive towards eternal life. By reflecting on your assumption, teach us to anticipate the joy of sharing in Your divine glory. This is our earnest prayer, Amen.

On this day, the Feast of Assumption and our beloved Independence Day, we come before You, Almighty God, with hopeful hearts. As Pope Pius XII decreed the Assumption of the Ever Virgin Mary into Heaven, body and soul, may we remember the Immortal love You have for Your children. Further, with the intercession of our Immaculate Virgin Mother and all the Saints, may Your Holy Spirit guide us on this earthly life. In solidarity with our small Earth and under your Eternal Father’s immaculate gaze, we pray dearly for peace and unity across this great nation. Clothe us within all virtues that reflect a true patriot’s spirit — resilience, courage, integrity. Above all else, make us worthy of our Loving Mother’s protection as we navigate through life within Your divine plan. Amen.

Gracious God, in the resplendent glory of Your heavenly beauty, we celebrate with joy and reverence the triumphant assumption of our immaculate virgin, Mary. Assumed as queen, she not only nourishes our faith but a beacon of light for us to trust in Your divine plan. As Your ever-virgin Mother cradles us in her tender motherhood, we are reminded of Luke 1:45, “Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.” Thus inspired, we too look toward our loving Queen’s journey from Immaculate Conception to the blissful rewards of heaven, manifesting an emblem of praise to Jesus. In all the mysteries and trials this life presents, may we strive to trust as fully in Your promises as she did. Amen.

In the radiant glow of your Assumption, Immaculate Virgin Mary, we stand in awe and thanksgiving. You, the humble vessel chosen to bear the gift of Thy Son to us languishing mortals, show us the grandeur of a life lived in quiet obedience. Mother of God, with your holy fiat you opened Heaven’s gates. O Queen Assumed into heaven, guide us on our earthly pilgrimage that we might mirror your faithfulness and humility. We begin this prayer in the name of our Mighty Queen, who was assumed body and soul into Heaven’s triumphant gate of eternal glory. Humbly, we seek Your loving intercession, O Mother of Divine Love. With hope-filled hearts and fervor-filled spirits, we implore that Your merciful eyes glance upon us as our safeguard in times of tribulation. Inspire us through your victory over sin and death; guide us to walk each step in faith and trust towards His eternal kingdom. As Isaiah proclaimed: “The Lord will give you a sign: the Virgin shall be with child, and bear a son” (Isaiah 7:14). In remembrance of Your Assumption, may we too yearn for heavenly treasures more than worldly pleasures. Together in unity, we appeal for your gracious protection under Your mantle until the day when we meet Him together with You. Amen.

Gathered in humble reverence, Lord, we mark the end of this Assumption Novena; honouring Your Holy Virgin, whose soul proclaims Your greatness. Cloaked in Her pure robe, She received the grace won by our loving savior. Reminding us of Her journey, we recount Your words: “Blessed are you among women,” (Luke 1:28). Let us emulate Her devotion and celebrate this holy event with joyous hearts. Amen.

Embracing us in our poverty, Most Holy Virgin, your Assumption speaks directly to our poor hearts. For it’s from your glorious beauty that we derive an intense desire and ardent longing to follow your path towards the Queen of Heaven. Guided by Proverbs 31:30, we understand “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” May we also praise His Holy Name with lives reflecting your virtues, Amen.

Let us be reminded of the heroic martyrdom, a testament of unparalleled fortitude, carried by the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thou art our beacon, guiding us through tumultuous seas of life. Your brave transcendence from earthly existence to heavenly serenity illuminates our path towards righteousness. In reverence we marvel at your assumption into Heaven, a spectacle of divine intervention showing God’s unending love for His creation. We thus celebrate Mary, assumed into Heaven: a source of perpetual inspiration, empowering us in our processional journey toward salvation.
