Prayer for Animals

Heavenly Father, blessed are You Lord, the creator of all the world. In Your infinite wisdom, You gifted us other animals, these wistful creatures who share our home. Praise be to You for their diversity and wonder. We hope for their protection and safety, as every part of Your creation deserves. Guide us in Proverbs 12:10, ‘A righteous man regards the life of his animal’ suggesting that we should care of them as we would ourselves. Please Lord God, watch over them fiercely as we do humbly pray. Amen.

Dear Lord, in Your divine compassion, listen to the desperation of our hearts as we plead for the ill or suffering animals. From our treasured pets who ail to every poor creature faltering with sickness; stretch forth Your healing hands upon them all. Even if the smallest pain afflicts them, may they find relief. Pour out Your mercy upon these innocent lives and touch those frail bodies with Your miraculous healing power. Amen.

Dearest God, with joy and gratitude, we call upon Your intercession through Saint Francis of Assisi, our patron saint. Guide us to value and respect all of Your creation, particularly our special animal companions who enliven our lives. In the spirit of Psalm 145:9 – ‘The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made’. Let us emulate Saint Francis in his love for friends the animals. Inspire us to see Your reflection in their innocence. Amen.

We unite our hearts, Heavenly Father Maker of all living creatures, in a shared hope for wellness. May the animals hear our collective plea and feel comforted. We carry gratitude for the joy that our dearly loved cat and all wistful creatures bring into our lives, reflecting Your love and compassion. Bless them with long, healthy lives, enveloping every precious cat and animal in soothing care. May their existence be a testament to Your endless bounty as we commit their wellbeing to Your divine providence. Amen.

In Thy mercy, we beg You to instill healing among old and frail animals. Bestow upon them health for Your greater honor, O Loving Creator. Confer strength on each trusting pet that awaits our care; such a man as us realizes they are more than just companions.
