Lent Prayer for Spiritual Discipline and Fasting
Heavenly Father, during this holy season of Lent, I come before You with a humble and contrite heart. I desire to grow closer to You, Lord Jesus Christ, through prayer, fasting, and reflection on Your Word. In Matthew 6:33, You remind me to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Help me, dear God, to spend time each day in Your presence, seeking Your guidance, wisdom, and grace. Strengthen me, Lord, as I face my own difficulties and distractions, and guide me on this spiritual journey. May the sacrifice of this Lenten season bring me closer to You and prepare my heart for the joy of Your resurrection on Easter Sunday.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I pray. Amen.

Lent Prayer for Self-Examination and Growth in Holiness
Heavenly Father, during this Lenten season, I come before you with a humble and contrite heart. In the words of 2 Corinthians 5:17, I pray, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” Lord God, help me to grow in holiness, to examine my life, and to turn away from sin. As I journey through this time of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving, may the Holy Spirit guide me into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Grant me the grace to see the broken places in my life and to experience the joy of your forgiveness. May your love and mercy transform me, and may I be a light to others, reflecting the beauty of your salvation. In Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Lent Prayer for Solidarity With the Suffering and Less Fortunate
Heavenly Father, during this Lenten season, I am reminded of Your great love for us, as we reflect on the suffering and death of Your beloved Son, Jesus. In John 15:13, You teach us, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Lord, help me to be in solidarity with the suffering and less fortunate in the world. Grant me the grace to be a source of hope, peace, and mercy to those in need. May the joy of Your eternal life fill their hearts, and may Your Spirit shine through me, as I strive to be more like Christ each day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Lent Prayer for Preparation and Anticipation of Christ's Resurrection
Dear Eternal Father, as I enter this Lenten season, I come before You in humble anticipation of the glorious resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In the midst of my busy days and the distractions of this world, I ask for Your grace to help me focus on the true meaning of this sacred time.
Lord, during these 40 days, may I draw closer to You through prayer, fasting, and daily readings of Your Word. Help me to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, and to remember that through His death, we have been given new life and eternal hope.
As I journey through this Lenten season, may my faith be strengthened and my heart be filled with Your peace. In the words of Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
