St. Scholastica Prayer

O Holy Saint Scholastica, devoted sister of Saint Benedict and fervent servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, I humbly implore your intercession for my spiritual growth. Your holy conversation and monastic life gave you eternal joy with our Heavenly Father. I pray, dear virgin Saint Scholastica, that by your example and the grace of the Holy Spirit, I may also experience growth in my spiritual life, seeking to love and serve God with all my heart. May I, like you, strive for innocence and purity in all aspects of my life and ultimately, be united with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the everlasting joys of heaven. In His Holy Name, I ask this. Amen.

Dearest St. Scholastica, patron saint of education and learning, we come before you with humble hearts, seeking your intercession. Guide us, Holy Nun, as we strive to grow in wisdom and knowledge, following the example of your saintly siblings, St. Benedict, and yourself. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, may we be blessed with the ability to acquire and share knowledge with others, for the greater glory of God. Pray for us, Saint Scholastica, that we may remain faithful in our pursuit of learning, and that our souls may be led to everlasting joys in heaven with our Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today through the intercession of St. Scholastica, the holy sister of St. Benedict and patroness of Benedictine nuns. We ask you, Lord, to strengthen the bonds of our community, just as Saint Scholastica and St. Benedict shared a deep love for each other and You, O God. May our hearts be filled with the same spirit of love and unity that graced the lives of these great saints. Grant us the grace to live in harmony, to support one another in times of need, and to always seek Your will in all that we do. Heavenly Father, in union with the intercession of St. Scholastica, we humbly pray for the gift of rain. Just as you sent a torrent of rain in response to her prayers, we ask you to shower your mercy upon our parched land. Through the intercession of Saint Scholastica, may the watery sky bless our fields, gardens, and communities. Lord Jesus Christ, may we also learn from the innocence and devotion of Saint Scholastica, to grow closer to you in our daily lives. In your holy name, we trust and pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we humbly seek the intercession of the virgin Saint Scholastica, patroness of storms and adverse weather. As she once beseeched You, O Lord, to cause a flood to protect her brother, Saint Benedict, we now ask for her prayers to protect us from the storms threatening our lives and homes. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may we find refuge in Your presence and be safe from all harm. In the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, we pray for Your protection and mercy. Amen.

Blessed Virgin Scholastica, we come before you seeking your intercession as we strive to strengthen our bond with our siblings. Through your example of love at Monte Cassino, teach us to live in unity and support one another in our faith journey. May the hidden life of God forgive our misunderstandings, and may the Good Lord grant us the grace to live in harmony as one family. As you and St. Benedict shared such a flood of heavenly joys, we ask for your guidance to lead us to a closer relationship with our brothers and sisters. May the innocence that leads to heaven in the form of a dove be our inspiration, and may we all share in the joys everlasting as one united family, under the watchful eyes of the One God, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Oh, blessed virgin Saint Scholastica, virgin saint who soars in the clear air, we come before you with hearts full of trust and devotion. We ask you, who walked in innocence and sisterly love, to guide our souls closer to our Lord, God, forever and ever. Help us follow the path of western monasticism and cultivate a life of prayer and contemplation, just as you did within your monastery. May your soul, dear sister ascending, inspire us to honor the feast in February and remember the virgins who have gone before us. As we face the night of death, may we, too, hear the chorus of angels and join our voices with the monks who sing God’s praises. In your holy name, Saint Scholastica, we pray. Amen.

We ask for your intercession on behalf of all nuns and consecrated women, who have dedicated their lives to the service of the Lord and His Church.
