St. Francis Xavier Prayer

Oh, St. Francis Xavier, fervent missionary and faithful disciple of St. Ignatius, I come before you in my time of need. You, who once entered St. Paul’s College, embraced the cross, and found glory after death, intercede for me. You, who baptized hundreds in the African missions and taught children the way of truth, hear my humble plea. As you were once shipwrecked yet preserved incorrupt, guide me through the manifold disgrace of life’s storms. Help me break free from my immoral lifestyle and lead me toward the path of righteousness. Through your intercession, may I find the strength to follow your example and, like you, become a light in the darkness, transforming the idols of this world into the love of Christ. Amen.

Saint Francis Xavier, patron of missionaries, I humbly come before you in prayer. Through thy praise and glorious merits, I ask for your intercession to guide and protect all those who dedicate their lives to evangelizing God’s people. As thou didst bear the cross and embrace the torments numberless, teach me to love thee and follow your path of a rigorous spiritual lifestyle. Grant that those who follow in your footsteps may, like you, bring the light of Christ to the farthest corners of the world. May they be preserved from danger and strengthened in their faith, as you were in your shipwreck and plague epidemics. May they emulate your love and devotion to the name of Jesus, guiding souls to holy death and escaping hell. Amen.

O Saint Francis Xavier, glorious patron of Christian evangelization, I humbly beseech thee to intercede for the conversion of sinners. By the powerful intercession of Jesus Christ, our eternal King, and through the singular gifts of the Holy Spirit, thou didst win countless souls for the glory of God. I implore thee to help me love and serve the Lord with all my heart’s affection and to guide those lost eternally toward the path of salvation. Amen.

O Blessed Francis Xavier, the greatest missionary of all time, I humbly ask for your intercession in the growth of the Church. Through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, my faith and my love for Him may be strengthened. Help me, O ever-loving Lord, to follow your example of leading a holy life and to evangelize to others the love and grace bestowed upon us by the Divine Majesty. May I, too, be a devoted servant in spreading the word of our one God and in winning heaven for all souls. Amen.

Blessed Jesus Christ, I reverently adore Your Holy Name and seek the intercession of St. Francis Xavier, patron saint of foreign missions. Please grant me the zeal and fervor he had in evangelizing the pagan East, working miracles, and baptizing hundreds. May I also bear witness to Your love and glory, and be faithful to the call to teach others about Your saving grace. Strengthen me, O Lord, to embrace the cross and follow in the footsteps of St. Francis Xavier for the salvation of souls. Amen.

Dear Saint Francis Xavier, thou art a beacon of hope for travelers, as you journeyed far and wide on your parish missions, embracing the cross with faith and fervor. I ask for your intercession as I embark on my own journey so that I may be guided by the Holy Spirit, protected from harm, and steadfast in my faith. May the example of your life, from your wealthy family to your selfless dedication to evangelizing and teaching children, inspire me to live a life of faithful service. Please watch over me as I travel, just as you were preserved in your shipwreck, and help me to grow closer to our Lord. Amen.
