Holy Spirit, instill in our ushers and greeters the profound gentleness that wins souls. Dear Father, as our ushers and greeters perform their duties in Your house, let them draw strength from Philippians 2:7: “He [Jesus] made himself nothing…taking the nature of a servant.” Ignoring social status or ethnic background, may they serve with humility reminiscent of our Lord Jesus, creating an atmosphere of love and unity among your children. Our Gracious God, as we celebrate usher’s day, we pray for our new members and all first-time visitors. Regardless of apparent social status or unique ethnic background, let our welcoming hearts mirror your divine love and acceptance. Help us to remember that we all are your precious children in Christ. Amen.
