Prayer for Sleep Paralysis

Our Father God, in the face of our fear and suffering from sleep paralysis, we turn to You with desperate hearts. In the stillness of the night, when evil spirits wage war against our bodies on our very own bed, Lord Jesus we pray for divine intervention. Your perfect love casts out all fear; send forth thy Holy Spirit to stand guard over us all night long. Grace us with restful sleep and draw out these troubling demons we wrestle with in the heart of darkness. Psalms 4:8 says ‘”In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord make me dwell in safety.” Let this hope anchor our soul. We rely on Your love O Lord to sustain us through this storm revealing your glory in triumph over these terrifying bids of midnight paralysis. In our unwavering faith we leave all fears at your feet Amen.

Heavenly Father, we approach Your throne with hearts filled with faith and gratitude for the blessings You have bestowed upon our lives. We are praying for understanding as we navigate the daunting world of sleep paralysis, a troubling beast that seeks to deprive us of rest and control over our bodies. In the midst of this darkness, we imagine that You, our Almighty God, are in control. Lord Jesus, speak peace into our souls, that sleep may be a heavenly respite rather than a battleground. Harness Your divine power to bring healing and freedom from this paralysis that troubles us. As we engage in this prayerful battle against sleep paralysis in our lives and the life of every afflicted person around the world, let Your light dispel all darkness. We rejoice in anticipation of a peaceful night’s sleep under Your protection. Please God hear us; In Jesus’ holy name we fervently pray always for peace to reign over troubling slumbers; Amen.

As we lay ourselves to rest, let us seek solace in Your comforting embrace, O Lord. In the many things we bear, instill in us a sense of tranquility as we rely on Your steadfast support. Let not the feeling of dread nor anxiety from livid dreams and the fear of sleep paralysis consume us. We talk to You about our fears as Christians should—openly and without shame. In our uncertain circumstances, encourage courage within us, guard us from shameful sins and make us unafraid during slumber as we would be of death itself. When we lie down to sleep, may each word that passes through our lips radiate confidence borne out of trust in Your divine will. Grant peaceful rest upon Your faithful servants tonight, thus shall all anxious thoughts cease under the sheltering peace of Your love. Amen.

Lord, grant us the power to overcome the terror of sleep paralysis. Let Your wisdom guide our minds upon waking and heal those hidden hurts, sin-born or not, that dwell in our life’s recess. Help us manage this earthly matter with spiritual resolve. Teach us to forgive ourselves for any lapse into fear or lust, cleanse these shortcomings with Your forgiving blood. Grant us strength to confront what must be overcome and triumph over this nocturnal adversary. In Your eternal name we pray, Amen.
