Prayer for Broken Heart

Heavenly Father, in your perfect timing, we desperately cry out to You. Our hearts are shattered, the pain and suffering is immense. Yet, Lord, we know that only You, through prayer and your Holy Spirit’s intercession, can heal a broken heart. We draw upon your promises as a very present help in times of distress. May our hope be renewed in Jesus. Come, God of healing, patch us back together again – take this desperation and turn it into hopefulness. Amen.

Lamentations of my heart abound in this fallen world, O Lord, with a spirit so broken and a heart utterly torn. My tears testify to this profound pain. Yet into Your hands, I surrender my contrite heart and lean on Your grace as the sun rises anew. Only You, grand Weaver of life, can mend these fragmented hearts and renew our shattered faith. ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed’ (Psalm 34:18). Breathe into us Your joy, for your promises give us hope. Amen.
