Prayer for Alcoholics

Oh Merciful Father, in Your sacred word, You declared “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). I implore this mercy and strength now as I battle with alcohol addiction. I seek Your sweet forgiveness and ardently wish to be set free from this chain of abuse. Set me on my path to redemption. Amen.

Divine Power, my anchor in stormy seas, I come humbly before You. As I combat alcoholism, guide me along the arduous path to recovery. Bestow upon me immeasurable strength and unwavering resolve. May Your divine power invigorate my spirit, fortify my weakening resolve and help me bid farewell to this vice that’s become an albatross around my neck. In Your omnipotence, I find solace. Amen.

Heavenly Father, through Your words in Psalm 23, You assure us that “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil.” Today, we lean unto this promise for families wading through the murky waters of alcoholism. We plea fervently for Your guidance and unshakeable peace to envelop these homes. Aid us in paving paths to recovery and restoring familial harmony stripped by this disease. In the holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Though I walk with faith, Lord, there are moments of weakness where temptation beckons. Equip me with your spirit of wisdom to perceive the dangers veiled in alcoholism. Embed resilience within me against the hooks of addiction, that I may not succumb to its grip. Nurture my resolve, dear Father, to endure and overcome. For it’s not in bottles that we find solace but within your divine embrace. Amen.

My Lord, Psalm 31:24 states: ‘Be strong and let your heart take courage, all who hope in the LORD.’ Today, dear God, I call upon Your boundless mercy and steadfast love. I ask that You instill hope in my friends who are trapped in the throes of alcohol addiction. Help them embrace Your strength and find the courage to overcome their battles with liquor. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, as stated in Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens,” we are called to love and understand. I humbly seek your grace today and ask for divine patience in dealing with someone battling alcohol addiction. Bestow upon me the wisdom to guide, love and support them in their darkest moments. Amen.

Father of all mercies, imbued with a wave of sorrow and concern, I raise my heart to you. Through the guidance of your Holy Spirit, I implore divine protection for these innocent children affected by alcohol abuse in their homes. Heavenly Father, nurture them under your loving wings. May they find solace and strength amidst this stormy situation. Amen.

In the sheltering grace of Your Holy Name, I seek liberation, God. This burden of alcoholism, heavy on my soul and body, seeks release in your power. Stand by me as I battle this darkness, guide me to the sanctuary of sobriety. Through You alone do I request strength and wisdom to overcome my weakness. Amen.

Firm in faith, I turn to You, God. As a humble servant on earth, I seek Your wisdom–a guiding light in the darkness of despair. Lend me understanding to assist those combating alcoholism; let Your divine help be tangible through my actions. Amen.

Guided by your Word, “By His stripes you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24), we turn to you, God. Breathe life into our family members battling alcohol abuse; shield them with Your protective cloak of healing. Anchor their shaken hearts in Your love, heavenly Father. Reclaim them from the clutches of addiction and usher them into Your comforting embrace. Amen.
