Olodumare Prayer

Oh, Olodumare, you divine power and supreme being! I stand before you on bended knee with open palms calling for your blessing. Grant me the protection and favor of a secure eternal destiny as I journey through this world and come to terms with all it brings. Keep me safe from harm and activities, not befitting one who seeks their grace. Let peace fill my family and community, granting us good things even in our supposed death. Hear my words spoken to the ground, O Ori Inu, that your divinity may remain alive within this body of mine until I act according to the will of the Supreme One. Ashe!

O Olodumare, Supreme Force of the Universe! I reach out to you in desperation, knowing that your existence signifies hope and life. I pray to you for help because only through direct contact with your spiritual head can one receive blessings and joy. Please give me the strength to discover meaning in humanity, creation, and all living things. My heart sings forth praise as my head bows down in utter reverence. With each breath I take, knowledge will come forth from my mouth so that I may awaken happiness in all those around me like a king’s word would when spoken.
