St. Sebastian Prayer

O Glorious Saint Sebastian, I call on thee for healing. You are the patron saint of athletes, so you know the power and beauty of a healed body. I come to ask for thy intercession and grace in this time of need. Grant me the confidence to have faith that my health will be restored and give me the strength to believe that I can receive your cure. Guide me towards blessed restorations and allow your mercy to heal my ailments so that one day all shall be as it once was before. Amen!

Father, I kneel before you, seeking the intercession of glorious St. Sebastian for my sickness. Through his extraordinary training and courage in battle, he dared to imitate Christ’s life on earth, facing kings and soldiers alike – sacrificing even his own body in martyrdom. He was thrown with arrows yet miraculously survived; many others saw it as a sign from God that faith would always spread despite deep suffering. Now I ask that you grant me strength and hope for this illness, as Sebastian did when faced with such difficulty – destroying any doubt with your grace and protection until I am restored to health. Amen.

O Glorious Saint Sebastian, Patron Saint of Athletes, how you were condemned to die by Roman Emperor’s court but proved athletically strong and miraculously survived! Through difficult trials, you persevered and spread your faith in our Lord. We pray for your intercession that we may seek to be as brave and faithful as you have been. May the Holy Spirit grant us forgiveness, courage, and mercy to protect those who dare to use their gifts for God’s glory. Pray for us that we may persevere with all our heart and strength according to His will. Amen.

O blessed St. Sebastian, model of courage and faith! You faced a difficult trial of martyrdom with courage and grace, facing the arrows without flinching or crying out in pain. Your virtue endured through the many injuries you received, imitating Christ in being obedient to your earthly king yet staying firm in your beliefs against Rome’s Emperor. We ask for your help to uphold our courage during these trying times; grant us the strength to survive sufferings like sadness and death and dare to challenge the world around us even when we feel weak within our bodies. Amen.
