St. Lucy Prayer

O St. Lucy, Protector of the Eyes, I offer my prayers to you in reverence and admiration for your everlasting courage and bravery as a patron saint. You fell asleep while holding two golden plates with images signifying light to protect yourself from being forced by the emperor’s edict to marry a pagan bridegroom. Thank you for granting us your ever-inspiring story of virtue and faith that will be honored throughout the ages. Please heed my prayer today so that all eye diseases may be cured and vision enabled. Help me overcome any darkness of evil that oppresses me without mercy so that I can shed more light into people’s lives around me as you did many centuries ago when you faced such extraordinary miracles during your lifetime. Mercifully hear my petition today and bless me with increased faith, trust, prudence, confidence, and hope amidst our tumultuous world. Amen.

Dear St. Lucy, Blessed Virgin Martyr and Patroness of the Blind, please hear my prayer and heal my eyes so I may see with clarity again. Grant me your motherly grace to cure all my ailments related to vision and guide me always in the sight of Your Divine Light.
