Prayer for Suicide

Dear Lord, amidst these tumultuous waves of despair, I bring before you a person burdened with suicidal thoughts. Almighty God, direct your healing rays upon them, pierce through the fog of their despair and rekindle a flame of hope within their hearts. In Your infinite Love and Mercy, provide refuge and restore peace. Amen.

God in heaven, shelter us amidst the storm of loss brought by a loved one’s suicide. Grant us solace as we mourn, transforming our immense sorrow into comfort. Nurture a healing environment around us: an oasis from emotional desert while simultaneously assisting us in remembering the love shared with those lost, rather than their ending. Amen.

In the quiet hush of uncertain times, I call to you, Almighty God. The world is filled with despair, and many feel hopeless. To those warriors in suicide prevention, bestow your Holy Spirit upon them. Grant them wisdom and compassion to talk on the ledge of their only option. Sweet Savior, Christ our Redeemer, your children bedraggled by a whirlwind of despair seek You now. This blind alley seems their only option, their hearts filled with suicidal thoughts. Remind us evermore that salvation lies within your tender love and embrace; through Jesus Christ who died for sins not His and rose again bestowing life eternal on us unworthy sinners. Amen.
