Prayer for Orphans

O Sovereign Lord, we raise a plea for the precious children who are lonely, abandoned, and orphaned. Hear our earnest prayer for these little ones, dear Lord Jesus. Indeed, so many millions of orphans yearn for love and care. Place these innocent souls in Your hands Lord. Heal one child at a time until each child finds hope. Glory to You alone Heavenly Father for hearing us out. May Hope shine on every orphan child’s face across the globe, Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we embark on the journey of adoption, guide us through the labyrinth of foster care. Prepare us, Oh Lord Jesus Christ, to soothe emotional hurts and mend physical hurts. Bless us with wisdom and understanding to offer orphan care competently. Equip prospective parents mentally and spiritually to create a forever family. Bearing in mind that our family is Your creation, may we openly embrace this new life. Holy Spirit, support all families formed through adoption process with Your unlimited compassion. Amen.

Lord, we come before You today with a sense of urgency, keenly aware of the countless children in orphanages, and those facing severe hardships in so many different places around our world. Stir us from our comfort zones as we grapple with this devastating truth. Guide us to actively seek ways to be Your hands and feet here on earth for the weak. Encourage us to use our resources, such as food and outreach missions more effectively. As stated in Your word through New Living Translation: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” grant them resilience in adversity. Courageously lead them towards a path filled with Your mercy and grace. This is our fervent prayer for change – motivated by hope, we make it in faith, Amen.

With a special heart full of love and determination, we lift up to You, Lord, the young lives who are simply uncared for and those lonely in families. Hear their silent cries, God. We pray for your fatherly love to envelope them; You who are known as the father to the fatherless. Equip us with knowledge and the equipment needed for our ministries functioning for these young people. Use your mighty power to transform their rebellious live as per Your word in Psalm 68:5-6 that says, “A father to the fatherless… is God in his holy dwelling.” May they experience life abundantly in Your name, Jesus. Amen.
