Prayer for Leukemia

Oh Heavenly Father, lend Your Strength in every step of this treatment journey. As we endure inevitable struggles – chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and beyond – may the medical team acting as Your hands be guided with divine wisdom. God, imbue us with the spirit of courage and perseverance. In the midst of this fight against leukemia, bolster our faith. For “trials produce perseverance; perseverance brings character; and character breeds hope” (Romans 5:3-4). Amidst shadows cast by distressing days or sleepless nights, radiate your comforting light. Remind us that in steadfast faith lies reprieve. As dawn breaks anew each day, rekindle the ceaseless flame of hope within our hearts. Though palliative care paints stark evidences of fleetly life on our innocent one’s face—a child too precious for such pain–still we trust profoundly in Your plan. Regardless of roads traversed or challenges surmounted, You are Our Shepherd—a beacon amidst despair and a solace well beyond human description. In all things considered and left unsaid, through tears that flow freely in silence or proclaimed boldly amid echoing hallways; you see it all—you feel it all. May You transmute these trials into blessings—into opportunities for faith to thrive and hearts to find peace—always under your watchful eyes—the refuge that never wavers; ever steady—a sanctuary overflowing with divine grace.
