Prayer for Hospice Workers

Dear God, In accordance with Your Word in Isaiah 40:29, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak”, I stand before you today. As a humble hospice chaplain striving earnestly to provide comfort through palliance to those in your hospice, I implore for an abundance of your Divine strength and compassion. As we navigate these challenging times, may our hearts remain vigilant and kind in caring for all patients. With your merciful guidance, let us be a beacon of hope during their darkest nights. Amen.

In Your divine presence, oh Lord, I seek solace. Amid the swirling gales of death and suffering, bless hospice workers with Your tranquil gift of peace. Inspire their hearts with an enduring strength that surpasses human comprehension. As they grapple with emotional warfares daily, be their sanctuary – a haven that cushions the gut-wrenching blows. Let Your soft whispers tempt them into sweet surrender to Your perfect serenity, smoothing their anxieties and imbuing them with ethereal tranquility—an everlasting catharsis from heaven above. Amen.

In Your boundless grace, Almighty Father, imbue in us profound faith and unyielding hope as we carry your ministry in hospice care. Strengthen our resolve to serve with patience and empathy.
