Lawyers Prayer

Gracious Lord, guide me to be a good servant in my profession, able to reach correct conclusions with steadfastness and humility. Help me to serve justice and remain loyal in argument to clients who trust in me. Grant me the wisdom to discern when to keenly win a point or humbly lose for the greater good. Humble me as a merry martyr when the journey becomes tough, making confidences trustworthy unto my care. May I uphold Your will and strive for righteousness above all else. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hope in our hearts to lift up our lawyer in prayer. We beseech You to guide them to remain ever attentive to their conscience, while navigating the intricate pathways of justice for us, their clients. Grant them wisdom from Your Word, as it is said in Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom”. Help them keenly study each case accurately, unravelling the threads of our clients’ tales trustworthy and without bias. We trust in Your divine protection over all legal proceedings, believing that with You on our side, we shall not falter. In faith and enriched trustfulness, we submit this prayer unto You. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Mighty Judge of all, we seek Your divine guidance today, that we may correctly interpret and apply the law that governs us. Grant us the wisdom to truthfully discern the genuine points in proceedings, and show a trustworthy witness to our testimonies. We beseech You for just judgement; hold our hearts firm in truth even when times are stern. In Your timeless wisdom and boundless love, stir within us hopeful patience as we await fair judgement. Amen.

Sovereign God, in communion with Saint Thomas, Patron Saint of great lawyers, imbue in us Your perfect wisdom. As it is written in James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God… and it will be given to you.” In honor of his feast day, may our analysis always lead to correct conclusions and our studies remain accurate. Grant us the strength to uphold justice and the resolve to transform discord into Harmony. Amen.

Oh Divine Advocate, in this grievous moment of injustice, we cry out to You. Remind us of Your promise in Romans 12:19; ‘Vengeance is Yours’. Strengthen our pursuit of justice, offering patience amidst adversity. Lord, lend us courage to endure the pain in patience and wisdom as we seek Your counsel in times of despair. Heed our desperate plea; ear to our sorrowful hearts and deliver justice swiftly. In faith we trust You will listen to our cry. Amen.

In the midst of adversity, when the brunt of legal problems weigh upon us heavily, we seek Your divine counsel. Grant us diligence in our duties, God, and fill our hearts with courage, cheerfulness and charity. As friends gathered in unity, undergirded by a clear conscience, guide us to put forth compelling arguments that uphold truth. In all things remind us to stand firmly in righteousness. In line with Your love and mercy shown throughout the ages, may this deliverance testify of Your magnificence. Amen.

As we sit and perform our duties, grant us the strength, O God, to be trustworthy with confidences bestowed upon us. In our profession where we counsel in adversity, fill us with courage and resolve. May we extend kind friendship and courteous conduct to all who meet us on life’s highway. Let Your divine wisdom inspire our path.
