Furthermore, praying the Byzantine Rosary is one of the most important exercises of faith that a Christian can do. After all, through it, we draw close to the Creator and renew our soul.

Originally this rosary was made so that 1000 prayers could be practiced. In the 100 beads, the name of Jesus is repeated ten times.

This prayer is similar to the Marian Rosary, in which the Hail Marys are repeated.

Because it is similar to the rosary or rosary, it is so-called. However, in the Byzantine liturgy, it is called Cikotki.

Father Marcelo Rossi, prays this rosary and guides us in praying it.

Originally the Byzantine Rosary is a rosary made of wool, which has 100 beads, and in each one of the prayer is said, that is, a single sentence.

How to pray the Byzantine Rosary

The act of praying brings us ever closer to the Eternal Father. That is why it is so vital for Christian to pray.

The rosary is a prayer of praise, supplication, and contemplation that is nourished by Sacred Scripture. Thus, when we pray, we are evoking Christ and the Holy Mother Mary, who conceived him without sin.

For this prayer, a standard rosary can be used, because what matters is faith and intention.

Before beginning the prayer below, it is necessary to choose the theme so that the corresponding prayer can be done.

For each mystery and day of the week of the year, there is a suggested prayer. However, nothing prevents Christian from hearing and doing another.

Each prayer must be repeated ten times until the 100 beads of the rosary are finished. But before each prayer, an Our Father, Hail Mary, or Creed must be prayed.

What does it take to make the Byzantine rosary?

Whoever makes this rosary does not do it out of obligation but out of devotion to God and the Cross.

Through this prayer, both the Christian life and the pastoral life are promoted. But to achieve divine graces, do it with piety and devotion. That is why what matters is the intention and faith of the Christian in making this prayer.

Moreover, there is no limitation for those who can pray it. This means that Christians of all ages and everywhere can say this prayer.

For some centuries now, the Byzantine Rosary has been prayed to protect the Christian from the evils that afflict the flesh. Depression, health, anguish, and sadness are some examples. But thatโ€™s not all, for this prayer can also ward off both laziness and a lack of will to live, and it may even fill areas you need.

Therefore, a standard rosary can be used without any problem, to pray the Byzantine Rosary, because what matters is the faith and the intention that is in the heart of those who do it.
